Graphical regression on the display of plugins in V8.6

Hi all

I updated ardour to V8.6 (Linux). But I see a regression in the display of plugins. Previously, for example, on equalizers, the adjustment buttons were displayed with a visual like on a mixing board. Since V8.6, the display is no longer the same, and is no longer at all intuitive, it feels like Linux console mode…
So not practical at all.
The graphical interface is no longer the same for all plugins.
A bug?

Are you using the calf plugins?

Hello Dhealey

Indeed, I use Calf plugins. All now have a very basic interface in this new version V8.6

This is a known issue, I think it’s something to do with calf not supporting the latest version of some GTK library.

Do yourself a favor, drop them. There are plenty of better alternatives.

Great DHelay !
I just installed " Lv2-gtk-ui-bridge_0.1-1kxstudio1_amd64.deb
And the GUI came back

Many thanks to you
have a good day

Interesting. I’ve been migrating from Calf Plugins and EQ10 for the same gui problems, still looking for alternatives for some of them. But this could let me re-open old projects without using an older version of Ardour.
