When I export the project there is the option “Analyze Exported Audio”, when it is checked a nice frequency analysis pops up, where it is possible to also play the audio back right from that analysis window. Is there any way to get that analysis window (with the playback button) without exporting the project?
Ardour 7 has a “Only Analyze” option in the Export Dialog, but since no actual audio is exported, there is no playback option to listen to the exported audio.
The playback in the post-export-analysis dialog reads the audio from exported file from disk, so you can verify that the export worked correctly.

Other than that you can analyze ranges in individual tracks or regions, or analyze the loudness of the mix at the master bus.
