from the command line

Hey,

I try to open ardour3 from the terminal, but it returns : ‘‘can’t-find the command’’ and tries to direct me towards ardour 2, which is still installed on my computer. Could that be the problem?

what command are you using?

ardour installed from ardour.org installs in /opt instead of /bin so you need to specify the full path.

You can find out the path of a program that is installed, by right clicking on ardour 3.x from your menu and going to properties, or in the case of kde you will have to create a desktop link and look at the properties of the desktop link.

/opt/Ardour-3.5-dbg/bin/ardour3

We also install a link in /usr/local/bin called “Ardour3”, so if your path setting includes /usr/local/bin, “Ardour3” will also work.

Thank you, I will try it tonight and reply.
