i’m probably the only person who wants it, but… ya know when you open Ardour and create a session how in the advanced tab it asks about busses and stuff. It’d be real nice to make a pref for that in preferences so I don’t keep forgetting to remove them since I don’t use busses. Also for MY screen real estate it would be nice for a pref for track height so I don’t have to select them all to get them small enough that they fit on the screen… and of course for me this is all on windows…
Would it help if you saved a template without busses (and with any other settings you normally need) and created your new session from that? Ultimately that’s more flexible and tidier than adding even more items to preferences.
Actually even better still would be if you could tell Ardour to use a particular saved template as its default for a new session. Or maybe it does already: I’m not going to turn my studio machine on right now just to find out…
it asks for template, but always has in the advanced tab to add bus… I just want that to NOT be the default… add it if I want. there are no busses in my template
