I always had a issue with ardour or mixbus on windows where certain plugins would be very laggy and unresponsive and would hinder the way I use the plugin or the program. I googled it and it turns out all i had to do was make my cpu is not in power save mode and make sure my graphics card settings were set to performance. After that plugins run smooth. No issues.
I just posted this on here in case anyone else had issues and want to get things moving smoother. I no longer have to shy away from using certain plugins because they were not running smooth and I did not have to upgrade any hardware to achieve this. And my video card is not even new, it’s a very old card
