I realy like Ardour so far - it works well with internal soundcards but my phonic Firefly 808 don’t appear in Ardour.
I’m running Ardour 2.8.11 with the latest Ubuntu Studio Release.
JACK was configured with jackctl and it seems to recognize the Device correctly:
graph reorder: new port ‘firewire_pcm:0014960008000000_Line[1]IR_in’
But in Ardour there are no such ports if i try to change an input there appears “PulseAudio JACK Sink” with ports like
“front-left” and “rear-right”. That sounds like a Dolby 7.1 System - are there some presets or something else?
Hello Paul
thank you for taking the time for that and sorry for the delay.
It seems that the Jack server is not running.
But if I start the Server with jack_control or Qjackctl the error message is still the same…
ed@ward:~$ jack_lsp
Cannot connect to server socket err = No such file or directory
Cannot connect to server socket
jack server is not running or cannot be started
JACK server not running
ed@ward:~$ jack_control start
