When I play with other people I get used to reading their faces and movements for timing and changeups, but when alone and creating in Ardour, those aren’t present. I’ve started using the location markers to indicate certain areas where those occur so I can plan ahead a little better. It made me look for a way to display them more prominently so I don’t have to look at the tiny markers on the ruler and track the play head. Getting old and my eyesight ain’t that good anymore. I don’t see any to that now, so the thought is to add the markers to the Big Clock window, and have them start to fade in one measure before they are supposed to trigger, get bright for a count or two and then disappear, on to the next one. That would give us a lead in to those parts and kind of help with coordination while playing.
