External hardware insert master post fader

We are running: Ardour 2.8.6, RME Hammerfall Multiface II.

We have a Pre/EQ/Compressor insert post fader on the master channel. This is routed system playback three, and in capture three. Monitoring is playback 1 & 2.

Everything sounds great but how can we record this to a track that can be exported?

Hi Ninastunes,

record your capture three on another audio track. You have to do this in realtime, just like you would record a normal audio source. Be sure to disconnect this audio track from the master to avoid a feedback loop.

Btw, Ardour 2.8.6 ist rather old, think about updating to 2.8.12, it contains some nice fixes :slight_smile:
