I recorded a MIDI track with my TD-30 Roland Drum module, and made some edits to it, and now I want to hand it over to someone using ProTools. I could “export” the midi track to a file using a very hard-to-discover system with selecting the range and then consolidate range and then I loose all my separate regions, and finally I can right-click and choose Export Range… but… the Midi file does not contain tempo information. Also, the TD-30 uses some automation to indicate for example where on the snaredrum you are hitting, or how far open the hihat is. Is that automation saved in the MIDI file then?
Preferably, would like to export my whole session to PT format if possible. What is recommend to fix what I’m trying to do?
