exporting a region is really slow in A3

Hi,

I’m having this issue in A3. If I right-click on a region and select export, exporting is really slow, just as slow as exporting the whole project, while in A2 it used to be almost instant. Am I doing something wrong, or is it supposed to be like this?

Are you doing any re-sampling? If the format you’re exporting to is not the same as what you recorded in, exporting will be quite slow. My interface works at 48k, so I do everything at that rate. When I export, I’ll export at 48k and use sox to convert to 44.1k for CD use. It’s faster than doing it in Ardour for me.

no resampling, but usually I export from 32bit to 16 and add dither, this used to be very fast tough on ardour2…
