Exported file size

Hi all,
I have a doubt:
the file exported from a multitrack audio project (20 tracks) is 40 MB.
The exported file relating to a single track (stem export) is always 40 MB. Is it correct that the size of these two files is identical?
[wav file, same export settings]

Thank you,
a.

If both of the exported files have the same number of channels, are the same length, and use the same bitrate then they should be the same size.

Yes, they have all this. Ok…
I would have said that “more information” implied “larger size” of the file. But no…there is no more information.
Thank you,
a.

No, the size of an exported stereo wav file doesn’t depend on the actual content of that file.

The exported multi track recording of a 50 piece orchestra will be the same size as a recording of a single mosquito in an anechoic chamber, as long as the duration and sample rate is the same.
Though, if you compress them down to mp3, aac, opus or similar the actual content will affect the file size somewhat.

Yes…
Thank you,
a.
