Export midi track without instrument

Hi,

I have added a Midi track without Instrument.
In this Midi track I recorded from ZynAddSubFX run as a standalone application,
so not as a lv2 plugin.

Within Ardour the track plays fine.
But when I try to export this track(convert it to a wav ), the resulting file contains no sound.

I assume I made some mistake in routing the midi,
following are the connections in JackCtrl:

Anybody a clue where I’m going wrong ?

Thanks for your time
Regards

probably zynaddsubfx does not support support jack-freewheeling (faster than realtime) export.

In Ardour5 you can select “realtime export” in the Timespan tab of the export dialog. Or you can first bounce (re-record) the output of zynaddsubfx onto a new Ardour audio track.

Images apparently don’t show, here are the links:

@ x42
“realtime export” does indeed work but there is a lot of distortion
‘first bounce (re-record) the output of zynaddsubfx onto a new Ardour audio track’, can you elaborate on the how of that ?
thanks, appreciated
