In Ardour 9, when I’m in “Draw Mode” and I create a MIDI region by dragging its end to the right, I expect it to start scrolling right when it reaches the edge of the monitor. Instead, it stops. To do this, I have to go into “Grab Mode” and then drag the end to resize. Is this intentional?

It won’t help you that much, but i don’t experience that here.
I tried to change a few settings to experience the same, but i couldn’t reproduce it.
Good luck.

So it’s just a problem with my system…
Maybe it’s because I built it from source code. Strange, because it didn’t report any errors.
Anyway, the problems I’ve found so far are completely minor and easily workaroundable.
It is unlikely to be a problem with “just your system”. However, I’d encourage you to download a free/demo nightly of either 9.0 or the nightly builds (nightly.ardour.org) and see if you see the same behavior there.

I understood the problem: when I start Ardour, the program window is slightly wider than my monitor, so it protrudes to the right by a few millimeters. If I move the window so that its right part fits inside the monitor, then the problem is solved.
I still haven’t figured out how to make the program window fit my monitor (1366x768). It is not manually resizable.
