Hi, I’m using the Dyson Compressor plugin and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the difference is between the fast compression ratio and compression ratio parameters. I also don’t know what release time does. Thanks.
I’d guess the fast compression ratio would normally be called attack, as in “if there’s a sharp transient, like a snare hit, how do we handle that”. The compression ratio would be the normal ratio, i.e. “which output gain do we apply to this incomming signal”
Release time is how fast you go back to the normal 1:1 ratio.
