Downloaded latest version for windows. two files with the extension CRDOWWNLOAD file. How do I Install without a extention?

Windows finds the file is not trustworthy. You must use your browser to tell Windows that you still want to keep the file.

I only use Windows at work and always thought it was a partially downloaded file, like you get .part on Linux.

Having just searched, it seems it’s a Chrome browser thing - a temporary file created during download until the file is fully down, at which point it should be renamed to whatever the correct extension should be.

In other words, it sounds like the download has stalled and you don’t have a complete file.
