Say I have a mono source, capture1, and I create a stereo track in ardour. I plug capture1 to ports 1 and 2 of my track and start recording. What do I, “behind the stage”, write to disk ? mono data or twice that data ?
if your track has two input ports, and you record with it, it will write two files. if both ports are connected to the same thing, then the files contain identical data.
