I’m not sure if this is the appropriate place for this question but I’ll ask it anyway!
The effect plugins are not organised in any reasonable way (at least for me). The only thing I can get is an alphabetically ordered list. This essentially means going through each effect one-by-one until you find a combination you like. Some of the plugins are not even that well named. If I am looking for a distortion effect, I am not likely to find it under “D”. It would be nice to be able to go to the “reverb” section, select one that you like, then the “distortion” section, etc. Will anything like this be available in the future? With a proliferation of effects it may become necessary (if it is not already and I am just unaware of it).
I am aware that this is not necessarily an ardour-specific question, so please recommend other tools. I have already seen jack rack for example.
So anyway… has anyone found a cool “metal” sound? If so, what combination of effects would you recommend?
