That is not a solution. I have the problem in ardour 6 using latest mint released this last month. I see the wave form when I recording and then it disappears after I stop recording. The track has the sound though. I do remember there was an issue with the wvform type… but that is set properly and no other setting will fix this.
There is a waveform, it just shows silence.
So when you play, you should also only get silence, is that the case?
No, there is something there. I’m not sure what the problem was. I started a session for recording rather than empty. I did a new session completely. (as it was just the first time with that recording so it was disposable). I created an empty session and it worked fine. But to clarify… it was a real track with sounds and a waveform while I recorded it.
I deleted the peaks folder and it still did not work.
The wave form disappeared when I stopped recording. But the sound was there.
Using stable ubuntu repo…
Ardour 6.9.0~ds0
"After Bach"
(rev 6.9.0~ds0-1build1)
Intel 64-bit
So the first question, does this problem persist if you download the trial version from this website?
