I’ve started to play around with Ardour though I don’t have my firebox until now. So I’m trying to record through my Audigy 2 ZS.
Well if I start a record in Ardour I get, after a few seconds, an error message that my disk is to slow. The same If I try to replay something. Well I don’t believe that.
But I ran hdparm to have a look on that.
Timing cached reads: 918 MB in 2.00 seconds = 458.61 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 224 MB in 3.02 seconds = 74.11 MB/sec
That should be enough for recording just a single track…
So I assume that something isn’t right for me in the default settings of Ardour or Jack or both. Do you have an idea which setting I could tweak?
