Digidesign 002/003 hardware support

This is an announcement that as of Linux kernel 5.14, digidesign 002/003 will work well with ALSA driver snd-firewire-digi00x.

In 2012, Robin and I figured out how the digi00x series of cards worked and a linux driver was born. Unfortunately, it still had some bugs until a few weeks ago; Takashi S. has now fixed the clicks and pops with the digi00x series. As far as I can tell, the driver works flawlessly now:

I can confirm it works with the 003R.

NB: Please “Use server synchronous mode” with qjackctl (or -S with jackd), otherwise you get xruns.
