determining ardour version used to create project

I have need to start working again on an old project that I put aside for several months. In that time frame I was using 2.x and also the 3.0 development branch on a couple of test projects.

In the .ardour file for the project is the entry Session version=“2.0.0” .
Does the session version number match the ardour version? In other words, can I safely assume that project was created with ardour 2.x if the session version is “2.0.0” and created with ardour 3.x if the session versin is “3.0.0”?

Great, thanks for confirming. I’m making a mental note to create session notes even for my “throwaway” projects. Never know when they might have something useful after all.
