I just connected a Behringer Xtouch in Mackie mode to Ardour 8 (Ubuntu Studio), and everything is working perfectly.
However, I can’t find the “go to start of session” button on the Xtouch.
I would like to have this available, preferably on the rewind or layer buttons.
Can someone tell me how to achieve this?
Just go to Edit->Preferences. Select the “Control Surfaces” tab, click “Show protocol settings”. Next select “User” profile/settings under the “Function Keys” tab like this:
Next left mouse click under the “Plain” column for a given key and select the Transport/GotoStart action.
Edit: would be useful to have the ability to assign action depending on current transport state. For example, assign Transport/Stop to the Stop button when the transport is rolling and Transport/GotoStart when stopped. I doubt it is is currently possible, though. Maybe using LUA?
