Custom midimap doesn't work [Solved - PEBKAC]

Hey everyone,

I’d like to create a custom setup for myself on stage, and want to control Ardour and use my drumpad as well.
I have an Alesis Strike Multipad for which I’d like to create a custom map and assign some actions to it.
I’m going to attach a screenshot with my first experiments. If I use MIDI learn, I’m able to setup some basic controls. Unfortunately it is not enough for other actions (like jumping to the next mark), not even for the for shortcut slots. So I decided to create such a file. It just doesn’t work, although it seems that everything should work, and everything’s at the right place. Can someone help me with this? What do I miss? I also tried it with a completely new project, because at first previous “midi learns” mislead me, and made me believe it works partially.

Okay, I might have found the solution. I checked the “Midi Note output” on the drumpad itself, and it turned out, the 25-26 notes that seemed to be sent according to the Midi tracer is actually 37-38. It works now

Do I get it right, that the tracer shows a hexadecimal value, but the midimap expects a decimal one?

Ps. Maybe it’s something worth mentioning in the docs. I’ll send a PR gladly, but I’d like to have a confirmation on it.

The tracer has a checkbox to show decimal  It’s in both the docs and the video

Oh my god, am I blind? Thanks though!

Okay, in my defence:
It is on the page for the tracer and the midimaps, but it is only the last sentence in the docs for the Midimap binding which I was working from. Maybe it would worth mentioning at the point where the “note” attribute is discussed.
