Cue Midinote does not play clip

Hallo,

I want to trigger regions via Midi Note-On. I use Ubuntu 26.04 /Pipewire/a2jmidid/ Ardour9.5

When i right click on the Clip and select Midi Learn, play a Midi Note, it seems to react. After that, I would like to trigger this Clip, but this does not work?

I have a connection from Midi keyboard to the Cue Control In

Any Idea what i can do?

I testet now on ardour 8.12 and there it woks immediately.

is this a problem of version 9.5? Does this happen to other too?

update!
i think its related to the project i use, when i open a new project in 9.5, clip trigger via midi keys works.

does anybody know, where to search for the differences between the fresh and the old project that effect, that the clip trigger does not work?
