I ask this, since it is not quickly visible in the Audio Connection matrix: If I want to have a track of say 4 channels (a quadraphonic setup), should the Master bus be a Mono bus for each channel to also be mono channels, otherwise I would get 4 stereo channels (if the Master bus is stereo; the default)?
Given that output typically flows via the master bus to whatever you’re listening on, you’d want a 4 channel master bus.
If you connect the tracks individually to physical outputs, the configuration of the master bus doesn’t matter.

My specific scenario is: I am exporting the 4-channel track (to give it out to the concert master)
So the only thing I have be sure of is that the track is made up of 4 mono channels. I understand from your answer that this is the case, and the setup of the Main bus is not relevant for this. Thank you for your quick answer
