At first I just wanted to test the harmonies that I set for the choir I’m in. In the end it has gotten slightly more.
7 vocals tracks, a stereo piano, three organ tracks. The organ is a BX3, recorded raw and treated in Ardour by the excellent setBfree plugins - overdrive and rotary. The spin speed changes are automated in Ardour. I had to image them during the recording.
I used great care in differentiating the vocal parts, especially creating different depths for lead and background. The biggest differences are reverb amount, reverb pre-delay and EQ.
