Corrupted session crashing on startup

Somehow one of my sessions got corrupted and so Ardour crashes on the “Setup Editor” phase each time I try to load it. Could you help me repair/recover that session?

The session file:

Here: Download Bill Evans - Nardis track 1.ardour | LimeWire

This particular session corruption was caused by an already fixed bug in recent nightly builds (using nightlies comes with this kind of risks too !).

It seems like a referrer link for LimeWire.

Sorry I copied it wrong, post edited.

Can you tell me how to fix the file in case it happens again? I’m also interested in getting involved with development, since I’m able to build the nightly code.

I opened and saved your session with a local build with this pull request merged.

I’ve built Ardour from the fork for that pull request and was indeed able start the corrupted session. The problem though is that after saving the session still crashes the same way on the latest master branch build.

Tried downgrading to ardour-9.8-1 from archlinux repositories, but still the same result.

Tried to save session copy instead, but ended up with this error.

File is a symlink:
'Backing Tracks Channel - Drum Track - 75 BPM - Smooth Jazz - Neo Soul.16.wav' -> '../../../externals/Backing Tracks Channel - Drum Track - 75 BPM - Smooth Jazz - Neo Soul.16.wav.2'
pointing to another symlink:
'Backing Tracks Channel - Drum Track - 75 BPM - Smooth Jazz - Neo Soul.16.wav' -> '/home/qualphey/Samples/Drums/Snares/Backing Tracks Channel - Drum Track - 75 BPM - Smooth Jazz - Neo Soul.16.wav'

Hmm, things may differ here as I don’t have the region sources, I was able to open the ardour file alone, change a mute state (to make sure i see the session saves), save it, and I’m now able to open it without the pull request merged.
