This is probably a silly question and has probably been answered a hundred times, but I have not read those answers.
If I upload music to the Ardour user group, does this help if I ever have a copyright issue or need proof of ownership? If so how? If not, just any good advice would be welcomed.

Iām not a lawyer, so take my reply with a grain of salt, but to ensure you have full legal standing to sue for copyright infringement, your covered work should be registered with the U.S. Copyright Office. Failing to do so will make your claim more difficult to prove in court. If you are outside the U.S., I have no knowledge or advice to give about copyright laws or registration procedures.
