I recorded a number of takes in one long session; then I edited them together, taking bits from each take. Now that I’ve committed to my edit, I don’t need to keep all those takes on disk. I’d like to consolidate my tracks, something similar to exporting stems and importing them back. There’s a Lua script which can bounce and replace regions, but it applies processing, and so I can’t use it.
I already tried exporting them and importing into the session. Or combining regions and bouncing them without processing, then trying to fish them out from the list of sources (they are hard to align, it’s not a reliable method).
I’m not asking because I don’t know how to do it at all. I’m asking because I’m facing it very often and I need a reliable and efficient way to do it. Would anyone have an idea how to approach this?
