How do I tell Ardour to combine MIDI regions using only notes that are visible? I’ll often see “ghost notes” appear, notes outside of the boundaries of regions, from when I shortened regions (or even cut parts from regions). Yes, I could just leave them and select multiple regions to take action on, but having one larger region makes it easier to transpose the entire track, etc.
Related to this, I just combined several regions, needing to edit out “ghost notes” after every combine, and when I transposed it, Ardour transposed the region, but left the original notes in the region alongside the transposed notes. This was… surprising.
Also, it seems like Ardour, when two regions being combined are “too far apart,” is not actually combining regions, but instead, placing some kind of weird overlay across and between regions. This is just weird. Fixed for practical purposes by dragging the end/start of regions closer together, but still weird.
