Hi all.
Time to release the next song.
This time it’s a black metal tribute to “Lord & Schlumpfi”.
If you are a German speaking metalhead and don’t know them yet, you absolutely have to watch their mini series “Der lange Weg nach Wacken” on Youtube. It’s just hilarious and helps you to actually understand the references in our song…
As usual, here’s a list of things we used:
- Audio interfaces / microphones:
- Behringer UPhoria 404HD for guitars
- Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 + SM-57 for vocals
- MusE: for MIDI sequencing (drums, bass, synths)
- Ardour 6.9: for recording, cutting, mixing, and mastering
- Drums:
- DrumGizmo + The CrocellKit
- for the first time I used the LSP Trigger plugin on the kick to supplement it with a kick sample from www.musicradar.com.
- Bass: based on the Fender Jazz Bass soundfont I created a while ago (see the Your creations Polyphone Soundfonts forum)
- Rhythm and Lead Guitars: played with my Gibson Les Paul and recorded “direct-in”
- Clean Guitars: played with my Gibson and supplemented with a MIDI track using my Ibanez soundfont.
- Synths: a choir and church organ from Yoshimi.
- Additional sound clips used in the song:
- the one right at the beginning I recorded myself
- the others are from www.audiohero.com
- Used Plugins:
- mostly LSP (parametric EQs, compressors)
- Guitarix
