I just noticed that when working with layered tracks, choosing the top region does not immediately take effect.
THIS IS VERY BAD. This leads to confusion and the selection of incorrect takes in a layered track. I noticed that I have to choose a top region, hit play, hit stop, and then play it again before I hear the actual top region.
No wonder why a lot of my “takes” sounded so similar. I hope I haven’t wasted my entire session today because of this bug. I only noticed this because in one take, the inflection was very different and things did not sound right when I moved another layer to the top to listen to it.
