Is there a command line option to choose whether to use jack, alsa, or pulseaudio on startup? It would be very helpful!!!

There is not. That would require lots more parameters to be useful. And also, the vast majority of users (we believe) do not change this sort of thing frequently.

Couldn’t you create session templates which were configured to each audio system (and device) and use the “-T” flag to launch from the command line with the required session template?
