Hi,
when I try to change the connection of a track or bus (i.e. in the “track/bus inspector”), I don’t know how!
In ardour 0.99.x I just clicked on an available connection and added it this way. In ardour2 (at least beta7.1 and beta8) I click and nothing happens.
Did I miss a change in the control of ardour2?
Thanks,
Benjamin

wow, idont think that you missed anything, but on my machine i have this issue too since some months, and i dont find anyone else, who can report this!
or, did i misunderstood you?
are you able to make connections in the channel strip of the mixer window?
i can open the mixer, than click on channel-input – edit – and i get the “input-connect” window, but clicking on the availibel ports, just nothing happens.
the same with you??
cheers,
doc

hi benjamin, i just got some help in the irc, and finally it works for me again.
looks like a workaround.
try starting ardour from commandline with:
LANG=en_US.UTF-8 ardourvst
or
LANG=en_US.UTF-8 ardour
and report the result.
cheers,

ok, but how you tell ardour to use clearlooks?
i have clearlooks in:
$ locate clearlooks
/usr/lib/ardour2/engines/libclearlooks.so
/usr/local/lib/gtk-2.0/2.4.0/engines/libclearlooks.la
/usr/local/lib/gtk-2.0/2.4.0/engines/libclearlooks.so
but starting ardour i get this warning:
…
(ardour_vst.exe.so:3733): Gtk-WARNING **: Im Modulpfad »clearlooks« konnte keine
Themen-Engine gefunden werden,
…
means like: " the theme-engine could not be found in the module-path"?!
any idea?
cheers,
doc
