I have an M-Audio 192 card installed using ALSA driver with JACK. It works for playback or existing files, but I can’t record! The JACK sever loads, but I am not getting signal from my card to Ardour.

Do you connect the capture input you use to the track you want to record to?
afaik, there are 3 ways to do this
If you start the JACK GUI (qjackctl) prior to Ardour, by means of the Connect button.
If not,
in ardour, through the track-bus inspector.
Or (the easiest way): in the mixer window through the input field at the top.
