Can't remove shortcut files from the file-picker window

Uh, is this a definite bug, or is there a simple way around this (key command + click, etc.)?

I added some shortcuts to the generic file-picker window that Ardour commonly presents. Now, a shortcut to a folder is easily removable, but if it’s a file, selecting it (and thus being able to remove it) appears impossible:

I’m on macOS Mojave running Ardour 8.12.
If this is a more universal bug, I can submit a report.

For now I’ll just avoid adding files as shortcuts…
