Can't find Import PT session

Hello,

I installed Ardour 5.12.0 in Debian buster by apt install ardour
Worked very well!

But I didn’t see the option : “import PT session” in the Session menu.

How can I enable it?

Any idea?

Click Help -> About -> Config and check whether you have “PT format : True”.
If you don’t have that, which you probably don’t, then the Debian version isn’t compiled with support for PT sessions.

Please note that we do not support or encourage the use of versions of Ardour built by Linux distributions. They frequently get small (and sometimes large) parts of the build process wrong. We understand the appeal of (1) using your normal system package manager to install Ardour and (2) the fact that it is free of charge. You are welcome to keep using a distro-provided version, but expect more subtle issues like this if you do.

I installed Ardour from ardour.org, and I had the option Import PT session in the Session Menu.
