I have a midi track that when I try to delete the a-compressor plugin the Ardour app completely locks up. The only way to recover is to kill the Ardour process.
The track has Helm, Mverb and a-compressor stereo applied.
Any ideas on how I can recover the functionality of my track?

You could try to open the session in “safe mode” (checkbox in the open session dialog). That should allow to remove the plugin(s).
It would also be great if you could file a bug report at https://tracker.ardour.org/ ideally with steps how to reproduce the issue, or a backtrace of the lockup.
PS. or wait ~24hours and first check if the issue is still present in Ardour 6.3, release process is ongoing as we speak.
