I was modifying the automation when I hit ‘d’ on the keyboard, and Ardour crashed. After that I tried to recover from the crash and I cannot load my session with error:
Cannot initialize session/engine: Audio/MIDI Engine is not running or sample-rate mismatches.
---ERROR: Unexpected exception during session setup: bad_weak_ptr
so maybe anyone can help me with that? I’m using Ardour 8.12 on Arch Linux.
I’d simply try it with reboot. The Audio / Midi interface seems to remain occupied and Ardour cannot open it.
I can open other session without error, so I think that may not be a problem, but I’ll try it later
Update: a reboot cannot fix that.
Thankfully, the session is not too large and I can import the midi files to a new session or another DAW. I’ll provide more information I can provide here if developers need to find the bug.
