What’s the purpose of the bundle manager in A3?

Bundles are a way to simplify connection management, by defining groups of ports… but from what i’ve read on IRC it’s not sure that this feature will remain, it seems to have proven less useful then expected.

Well 5 years later(ish) it’s still there. Any way to request this feature get documented?
