BCF2000 and feedback in midi mode?

I have Ardour 2.0.3 compiled from source on Kubuntu Gutsy, a Behringer BCF2000 so far I have reasonable success getting it to control Ardour except I can’t seem to get feedback to work.

BCF2000 is attached to both control in and out using patchage. midi surfaces are enabled and so is feedback. Send MTC , Send MMC & Use MMC are all enabled. I have options pointing towards Control port in the options window…

Any ideas on what to try next.

The BCF2K has multiple modes of operations, such as how to route midi events, see the manual.

For example the BCF has 2 outs (here you have to use out-B) and you have to use the coresponding mode, otherwise you get midi loops.
