This is the first time in my life that I publish something, so please be gentle with me
I made music for all of my life, but I never had the guts to put my own stuff out. I think it’s finally time. This song was made with Ardour from begin to end, though the song itself is very old (from the 80s). I recoded this one new because I changed the middle part. Most of my other stuff derives from old 8-Track tape.
Yeah, I really like it. Great Sound/Spirit and good E-Guitars.
But to be honest, the middle part (1:40-2:23) breaks it for me. I would leave this out.
Song is good enough and compressed without it.
… but I never had the guts to put my own stuff out. I think it’s finally time.
Please continue doing so.
Quick feedback from my side, if I may:
very cool arrangement, different fills, breaks, etc.
the overdriven rhythm guitar sounds dull or dark to me, especially at the intro. During the verses and choruses it’s ok, however.
the solo at the end (3:27 - end) introduces some weird crackling noises, as if some clipping is happening. IMHO this is the biggest “technical” issue, this song has…
I think it’s a very cool song man! There are a few things I would change in the mix (which is still good), but that is completely subjective. Regardless, it’s a very cool tune. Keep it up!
Nice one, Werner It’s a well-recorded, well-rounded tune with a very good mix to boot Funny middle 8 thing going on, interesting choice of timbre for the solos too (although it does sound like unpleasant clipping in the ending solo, as pointed out by slash… Deffo worth giving that a second look I think)
Dude I clicked on the album on Bandcamp, and “Ride From Arizona” is steaming hot! What a pity that this kind of Rock’n’Roll wasn’t very much en vogue anymore in the early 80s and what was left of the cake had already been divided up, otherwise your band would have made it big time.
