AV Linux 2016 Released with Ardour/Mixbus

Hi fellow Ardour users

Just remembered I hadn’t posted here yet on the release of AV Linux 2016. Why should you care and what in the world does this have to do with Ardour?.. Plenty! AV Linux now features Ardour and Mixbus exclusively…

Ardour 4.7 and the demo version of Mixbus 3.2 are included on the LiveISO ready to use with a ton of great plugins, additionally the 32bitPAE version of AV Linux also provides a functional build of ArdourVST with WinVST support (it only runs on 32bit, 64bit AVL provides Carla with WinVST support). Are you a GIT person who builds your own Ardour? The build dependencies for building Ardour are also included and ready to use with GIT. Lastly if you are new to Linux Audio and Ardour there is an 84 page User Manual with specific sections on setting up JACK and initially setting up Ardour and Mixbus. Much has changed from the previous AV Linux 6.X so users new and old are strongly advised to read the User Manual and info on the website before downloading or installing AV Linux 2016.

Thanks to Paul Davis, Robin Gareus, Ben Loftis and the other Ardour contributors for creating such an amazing DAW!
