I am having trouble hearing sound again
Im am wondering what the set up for audio connection be (this might be my issue)
a screen shot of correct setting suggest would be brillant

If you are using the monitor section then monitor section output to sound interface inputs. Master bus output to monitor section input.
If you are not using the monitor section then the master bus outputs should connect to your audio interface inputs.
Beyond that it is impossible to give any additional help. What audio interface do you use? Does it have separate connections for main outputs and headphone outputs? You could provide a screen shot of your setup showing the Ardour bus outputs and the hardware inputs, maybe something obvious will be visible.
