ArdourGUI hangs on startup with 100% CPU

I just installed the version 6.9 which is available from the Ubuntu repositories.
When starting it on the command line it will hang with ArdourGUI showing around 100% in the “top” command.
I have Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS with Budgie desktop (german).

The terminal output is

Should it run on this Ubuntu version with Budgie desktop?

We cannot provide official support for Linux distribution builds here.

Perhaps another Ubuntu user can help you out, or you can try the free/demo version from Download Ardour | Ardour Community (if that has problems, we will help; the current version is 7.2)

I will continue trying it out…
