It didn’t used to to that in Ardour 7. Is there a preference I need to set to turn that off in Ardour8?
FBO future readers: @paul resolved the by pointing me to the “Autoplay” menu option, which I likely toggled on by mistake by hitting the Ctrl-7 keyboard shortcut (when I meant to press Alt-7). @x42 noted that there used to be a top-panel button displaying the state of the option, but that it was removed because it was rarely used.
