Ardour won't play (FreeBSD)

Hi,
maybe i shouldn’t post it to this forum…
I compiled ardour 2.8 from FreeBSD ports, it starts up well and links to jackd, but i can’t use the transport… Pressing play/space does nothing, also by setting loop region. I found some posts but they do not resemble exactly this issue (previous versions or MacOSX).

OS X and FreeBSD would be seperate issues most likely. Sadly I would probably point you towards the port maintainer for FreeBSD as it isn’t maintained to my knowledge by any of the core developers of Ardour.
