Ardour midi notes

How do you make it so when you put out a midi note its the same length as the last one automatically without choosing the size? (for fast midi editing)

There’s no mechanism for this right now. You might find step editing close enough, however. (Right click on the rec-enable button of a MIDI track)

Okay thanks for the help that seems to not be exactly as i imagined it but i hope the feature will come for ardour 7

When you want the same lenght you can :

  1. hold down ctrl key and leftclick(hold down the key) then drop that last note too where you want.
  2. hold down “left mouseclick” and drag the note as long as you want it to be.

Thanks that’s quite good, midi editing will be easier now
