The fuller explanation of all this is that our translations have “rotted” and ended up included incorrect “fuzzy translations” such as (english) “MTC in” = (other language) “MTC”. This led to things that are supposed to have unique names not having unique names, which then triggered other errors, which then caused a crash.
It would be great if people would actively keep our translations current. At the moment only .de, .ru and occasionally .cz get regular attention.

am not sure, Mantis is for bug tracking AFAIK. On the Ardour site you can find “ideas for Ardour” forum. But, I can’t speak for Ardour devs… maybe you could open a thread here ?
In the case you evoked, one may translate meterbridge with “afficheurs de volume”, or “indicateurs de niveau” VS “console de mélange” or “console de mixage” for mixer
On peut être continuer en français ? Parce que je comprends pas le jeu de mots dont tu parle
You’re right, stay in english seems better for most people understanding.
Now I got your word game, and it’s strange as you point to translate “volume unit meter” to “barre de vue-mètre”.
As said before it’s more an “idea for Ardour” than a bug, IMHO…
No problem with your english, got the same at home, Léon
