Ardour crashing every time i create a new track

Hi. Every time I try to create a new track (including importing audio onto a new track), Ardour crashes.

Any ideas what might be causing this?

What version? What platform? If not 4.4, please try a version from http://nightly.ardour.org/ and report back.

maybe related to http://tracker.ardour.org/view.php?id=6621 (in which case a rogue plugin was responsible, creating a new track or importing a file implies saving the session, and in #6621 saving a plugin state cause the crash).

http://ardour.org/debugging_ardour would tell.
